Stanage Edge and Burbage Moor – Following in Ancient and Literary Footsteps

So pleased to announce; the fourth walk in my blog https://inspiringartwalkswithsarahmorley.blogspot.co.uk/ is now completed! This is a walk from Hathersage, Hope Valley, Derbyshire, around Stanage Edge and part of Burbage Moor. This is a truly magnificent walk, and is made all the more interesting once you get to know of the connections to Charlotte Bronte, Robin Hood, Little John and Iron Age man.

This walk will be featuring with Walks 2, 3 and 4 in my upcoming exhibition ‘Inspiring Derbyshire’ which is now a little over a week away. It launches on Friday 27th October, 7-9pm, and continues until close of business on  Wednesday, 22nd November 2017 at The Green Man Gallery Buxton, SK17 6PY.

Hope you enjoy reading my walks and perhaps doing them. You will get a sense of the paintings to be exhibited from the blog, but ofcourse they look better full size than on the computer screen. So I hope to see you at The Green Man.

Here are is a flavour of just one or two of the paintings illustrating this walk, Carl Wark Fort, and Stanage Edge itself.
