It has been ‘back to normal’ this week, after three weeks away in North America – expect some paintings reflecting some of the beauty of this trip soon!
Painting Classes are Back
Last Thursday was the first day back of my painting classes – held every Thursday in my studio at Vernon Mill. I have some space in the afternoon class at present. Students have the chance to have the full studio experience, learning to paint in oil or in acylic with easel and materials supplied. Please contact me if you would like to know more.
Art Fair Cheshire 2019
Today I delivered 13 paintings and some works on paper to Macclesfield for Art Fair Cheshire 2019, an art fair in aid of the East Cheshire Hospice including the painting shown, ‘ Rowarth, Early Morning’.
Some of the paintings on this site have gone to the Art Fair and I have temporily marked them as ‘out of stock’ because these paintings are available to buy at the Art Fair. I am excited to be invited in this event for the first time – the art is always of a high standard and it raises much needed funds for the East Cheshire Hospice.
The event is open from Thursday 26th September up to and including Thursday 3rd October, entry is free and the exhibition is open from 10.30am to 5.30pm every day. https://www.theartfair.org.uk/home
‘The Great Outdoors’ Outside Drawing and Painting Day at Castle Park Arts Centre Frodsham
On Friday 4th October there is an opportunity to do some outside sketching and painting led by me at Castle Park Arts Centre Frodsham. This will be a structured day, which will challenge the ways we look at and respond to landscape, you will be able to use a range of mixed media to produce some interesting drawings and paintings. A room will be available to work in, should we need to dodge inside between showers!
Open Studios at Vernon Mill
This event will take place from Friday 18th October to Sunday 20th. My studio will be open and I will be there painting and chatting about my art. More details coming soon.
