Art Fair Cheshire and Derbyshire Open Arts 2022

After something of a quiet time over the winter it’s now time to show my work again!

Art Fair Cheshire 2022

Yes, it’s finally here! having been postponed previously due to the pandemic. Art Fair Cheshire opens this Thursday 26th May at 10.30 and runs until 5pm on Sunday 5th June at Macclesfield Town Hall, Cheshire. I am very pleased to have been selected to exhibit at this fair for the second time. This biennual art fair shows the work of over 80 local and regional artists and the commission on sales goes to support the East Cheshire Hospice. As such it is a very worthwhile cause and one close to my heart. I have ten paintings on show. Some which are on my website and some new ones. See the art fair website for further information https://www.theartfair.org.uk/

Derbyshire Open Arts 2022

Another event that has been missing from the calendar, Derbyshire Open Arts, is also back! This fantastic art trail showcases the work of artists and makers all over Derbyshire. This is coming up this next weekend, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May, 10 am to 5pm. See https://www.derbyshireopenarts.co.uk/ for information on everyone exhibiting. It would probably take the visitor all weekend to visit all 216 participants throughout Derbyshire, but it would be an interesting experience!

I shall be primarily showing my Derbyshire landscapes. This will include nine new paintings. Recently I have been out sketching on Winnats Pass and Mam Tor, going back at different times of the day and in different weather. Three of these paintings are among those on view.

We will have a fantastic selection of diverse art and ceramics for sale and we are looking forward to talking about what we do and meeting new people. There will also be coffee, tea and a variety of homemade cakes which must be eaten and this an be done overlooking Pam’s lovely garden. So why not visit both?

On Saturday and Sunday (28th and 29th May) it is possible to visit both venues as it’s less than 30 minutes drive between the two. Well worth doing if you can! I will be looking forward to seeing you in person for a chat and a brew.
